Long time no post, but since it has been a while and lots of changes in my life, I figure maybe the same is true of others! We're all grown ups now, except for MightPea, who will be perpetually 12, or at least his dates will always be.
Who is married? For how long? What does your partner do? Do they understand your passion for games/game art?
Myself:
Married now, for 6 months.
My husband is a programmer, specializing in tools, and Artificial Intelligence. His thesis was a project for a robot that can navigate rooms by creating it's own pathfinding using cameras.
He understands my passion for games. I play a lot more than he does, but he will often times play a game that he sees me playing, after I'm done. He also works in the game industry, and we are making a small game together, so it works out well on that front.
Ok, who else has a ball and chain?

I am not married, but have been with my girlfriend for 5 years now. Oddly enough poopinmymouth was there when we first met. FATE?!
ps. your "post a photo" thread is still going strong
pps. cologne? did you go to gamescom the other week?
ben , perhaps he can wire that robot to do the housework.
I remember when love first blossomed! I whispered to Eli, "I bet they are talking about how crazy Americans are" when you two first were walking on your own talking.
Yep, was at Gamescom on Saturday. CRAZY. Seemed bigger than I remembered E3.
P.S. Nice to see you posting again Poop
[edit] Wife likes games, and is as good at them as I am, so we make a great co-op pair
Also 2 wonderful kids.
Just celebrated 12 years of marriage on the 22nd.
Stacy's a full time mom and picks up a few shifts here and there as a medical records tech. She definitely understands my job and my passion and totally supports it. She's not big into games but she does play TF2, loves her some heavy. She did get into wow for a while and we both love the lego games.
First thought: Who dug up one of Ben's old posts, oh wait hold on this is new!
and we are blessed with a our beautiful 4 year old daughter...
You guys should pop some kids out, you'd have quite the render farm going

She gave me mono before she took off.
Just hit 2 years of marriage on Sunday. Our first child is due in Nov. She is right brain and I'm left. She works at Intel so in some ways our worlds overlap. She doesn't totally get what I do but she supports it. Also she's not a gamer but shows potential signs of one after getting hooked on Animal Crossing Wii for a good while. She enjoys watching me play. Fallout has too much conversation for her but RE5 she likes. She plays a mean Texas Hold'em on Facebook.
kid is awesome!
wife sucks
just kidding, i love her......
sometimes...
when she is asleep....
it looks like she is dead..
haha He did say husband good sir.
yes, but not in the good way..
I like on his site it says him and his roommate are working on the game.
I'll be celebrating 14 years of marriage tomorrow (9/27).
I don't know why but I too was a bit thrown off! Congrats on the marriage. And I have to ask, did that influence you leaving the country at all (marriage laws)?
Been seeing the same great girl for 3 years - super supportive of what I do!
Technically, we're common-law. Been with the same girl for 9 years, have a great relationship but no desire to actually get "married" or have a wedding.
Edit> Thankfully, she is not in the industry but by totally understands what I do and why. She plays games off and on, mostly adventure games, but we've also co-op'd Halo and Gears.
i've made a life choice to be single and lonely......
Depends... do you consider 35 to be really old? I guess I use to, but not anymore. We're the same age, so we were both 21 when we got married (well, it was a week before she became 21).
chicks can't resist the "taken" ones.
Married for two years, together for 5 years, friends for around 10 years. We got back from a trip to the UK just a few months ago as a "second honeymoon". No kids, but were "working" on fixing that.
Gav: I'm in the same boat only I have been with my girl friend for 4 years. I think I'll use you as an example, and tell her she has to wait at least 5 more years for marriage. (she will be pissed, ha ha)
