Think I saw this posted in a thread before but I can't remember which. Anywho! I stumbled upon some pretty concise tutorials to get custom models working in the game, including single piece PPM's. :-)

Still have to try it out to see if it works, but the author has some screenies of his character running in the custom character screen..good enough for me.
Custom factions are being added in the next patch too...Team Polycount anyone??

On the bright side, yup custom chars are possible, even now.
btw, allready made a full custom char :P screens
I used that tutorial to put my char into the game, now its updated and it seems all info is in there to make it work without the problems that i had before.
...a polycount faction would be cool...or a DomWar 3 faction ...a dom war polycount faction!
This should help a lot of the guys here that are interested in working on UE3 stuff.
