hi guys, just popping in with a 4-hour doodle. pardon the childish humor. truth is, things aren't so hot for me right now. i work for a start up company that may be on the verge of tanking and haven't been paid the last 2 months. it's eating into my savings plus i've gotta pay for 3 siblings college tuition in the next few weeks, which will put me in dire straits. here i am living in an expensive city away from home, family and my girl...painting is one of the only few reprieves i have left. will try to do a few more over the next few days. sigh...who knows where i'll be in a couple months time.

I feel your pain, I worked for a company in a similar situation and when I finally had a gutfull of their promises and left they owed me 6 months pay, I never got it. After that my fiance and I decided to move to Bulgaria and get married here cuz after beeing screwed over so many times in Africa we had had enough. Best decision I ever made.
Good luck dude, I hope things pan out better for you than they did for me.
I'm sure it'll all work it's self out, it sounds like you don't have a problem expressing yourself anyway. I'm sure things will get better soon and you'll be thankful for the experience
i'd wait some dark painting haha
Spark
Great pic, though, bloody hilarious! You coulda rendered the turd a little better though...
xaltar: thanks man! and i'm glad things worked out for you.
john warner: haha glad you like it. i tried to get the right amount of exhiliration to show on his face. it really is one of the best feelings in the world...
ninjas: i don't know why i kept going with it. i just don't know...
jaco: haha glad you his fuzzy pale moon light.
spark: there are a few, but we're so close to a deadline it wouldn't be right to bail out just yet. also, my employment pass only lets me work for the studio i'm at now, so if it tanks i'll have to leave sg anyway. definitely looking to move on to another country though if things don't work out. singapore living's too sterile for my taste. thanks for the kind words.
teck: see you soon man. don't make me go life turd drawing!
here's one more silly painting of an old cartoon crush. undressing her was therapeutic in a way. the way she always had the top of her yellow jumpsuit unbuttoned did something for the 10-year-old me.
that said it's great to see you make art in this period. it is a respite and truly a kind of journal to paint during times of distress, because you can't help but put some of what you're feeling into the work. i remember that in the aftermath of the disruptive breakup with my last girlfriend, i did sketches that spoke my mind to various degrees. and some of that did involve more sexy ladies drawing
anyhow, hope things turn for the better soon. brother got to get paid. dig the drawings, you perv
on another note, i love the drawings.... funny stuff... and not what u expect when the topic is 'sad.'
Hope everything smooths itself out, I'm convinced you can find yourself another job and I admire you for sticking with your current team till the end despite everything going up shit creek. I wouldn't blame you for jumping ship either, though.
sorry to hear you're down snowfly. you've got a lot going for you. you have an amazing artistic talent, and eventually, given the time, things will be cool again. these paintings are great, thanks for sharing them.
Like everyone else said, you've got a buttload o' talent, I'm sure you'll get something else/something better. Drawing like that deserves cash. I love the look on April's face.
I'm not getting a completely realistic trajectory on that turd though.
april nooooooooo!

lol, I was waiting to read your thoughts on that one
Snowfly: Is there any opportunity to do some freelance work on the side until things pick up?
Like Jackablade said, Australia is only a quick flight and tonnes of work available for a great artist like yourself.
Chin up!

I really like your paintings there.
Like Gauss said, i'm not really worried about you, but i also wouldn't sit around waiting for the anvil to fall on you.
I'm sure you can get some contract work on the side, and i can't imagine your start up company would object in any way given the situation ?
come to Japan, it's close, and you could probably find a job here.

Doing turtle porn? Yeah I can imagine that
Good luck for your job search, but with talents like yours it shouldn't be too much of a problem!
Your work, it's fucking tops! There're loads of people that draw hot chicks well, but yours has a bit of lust in her eyes, and NOBODY I've ever seen draws shitting dwarves as well as you!
turtles porn, disturbing and fabulously entertaining at the same time.

Amen to THAT
Oh, and... APRIL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Man, I feel like a cock.
Awesome paintings. The sense of perspective in the turtle one is awesome! And, uh, turns me on?
Keep painting.
Can't say things have improved much, but I'm in better spirits than before. A conversation I had with a friend about cracking the deviantart code led to this painting...I'm of the opinion that cute girls is the way to go, he thinks it's Sonic the Hedgehog fan art...hence

also, I always wonderd how the hell Tails' bones must work.. we must know!
April YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Been using the down time to take up a new sport, get some personal pieces done...generally trying to level up my life. Here's the art...
Commission work, not too happy with the way it turned out but at least the client was ecstatic, and I got the cash moneys!
Corporate giant. Business card art for my bro to congratulate him on his new job. He is no longer whoring mayonnaise, good for him!
This one's wip...just having fun coming up with all the crazy random shit. Like arabian fortresses, flying submarine galleons, semi-pirates with nodachis, big guy with a puppy...

poop - hey dude, just trying to get comfy with color work again...looking back the sonic is a bleeding miss
caseyjones - thanks man, need more art from you too!
rooster - haha never thought of that! guess i'm just used to seeing it as a vague blur
steady - thanks bro!
lupus - thanks man, yeah making the costume mimic sonic was the fun part.
dom - hey man i just recently noticed you're a buddy of shawn's. he worked down here at tenacious games for a while but took off when things went bad. where are you based now? i do love the kopitiams
This stuff is awesome, specially that sonic pic.
ITs nice how each pic is from a cool angle. Something I've never really gotten into much.
I do think fighting games need a wider vocabulary than the usual Good! Super! Marvelous!
great work on the arabian fortress B&W piece, Chris. you've clearly been sweating out the secrets of complex foreground/background composition with your job, and it shows. there's a lot going on in the scene, but it all reads and you've got what looks like a near effortless command of value control to reinforce distance from the viewer.. damn you
keep us updated!
Don't know if your'e aware or not, but photobucket isn't showing several of your images from your portfolio. Probably nekkidity.
