First 3D Model.

Hello everyone.. I've started working on Maya 10 days ago, I've been doing some exercises and this is the result after all that I've learned.. I accept criticism also I apreciate some guides or tutorials where I can learn more so I can make the next one better than this one..

first thing that stands out to me, is that the render is really dark. I would add an some image based lighting and or more lights

Great work krazyDrazy remind me of my first model
I will suggest you to pick something with blueprint out of subject you are most passionate about . Pick something complex this way you are going to learn a lot and fast

Thanks guys anyway I was doing some random stuff, I was learning about edges and vertex and all that extrude stuff so I said let's try hit something.. Also I want to model organic not that I don't like hard surfaces but Im more interested in organic.

Then better learn Zbrush or any other sculpting software , you can still do organic modeling in maya but is slow and tedious at least for me

I agree with @carvuliero, choosing a scene like he posted will help a lot, that way you have great reference on what to match

also @Brian "Panda" Choi your dropbox link doesnt work, im curious to read your doc.
