[WIP]Hi Polycount! It's been a long time since I posted anything new (almost 4 years
). I've been busy with work and stuff, but, I finally started on something new. It's a sci-fi farm on an alien planet. Big gross things are being harvested so I will be writing a synopsis about this place. I wanted to make it feel like it could exist on earth but with some alien plants and sci-fi elements. This is still WIP so I will be posting as I progress trough this.
I've been playing with photogrammetry so some rocks are a result of that. Some rocks I sculpted in ZbrushCore. I am also playing a lot with Subsurface Scattering using Subsurface Profile in UE4 and so far I am getting pretty good results. Foliage is still work in progress and was done using Speed Tree and then I'm adding more elements in Blender. I use Blender for everything
Software used so far: UE4, Blender, SpeedTree, ZbrushCore, and Quixel Suite for texturing.
Here are some WIP shots:
Thanks!

I really like the first screenshot you posted, looking over the field. I'd maybe try and push that angle more and bring in a bit more story telling as a whole (What are the creatures? How do they respond to being harvested? etc)
Your actual asset creation is sick though.
Here is another pass on Harvesters:
and a quick render:
Here is some more overall progress:
-added few more things to the main refinery (they may not be noticeable)
-redid some things on the Harvester to make it look more like a tanker wagon/truck
-minor material, lighting, and misc. adjustments.
I'm getting close to being done.
Thanks!
I also think some coloured trim would add interest to the main vat. Cool work
