How can i U shape ramp with vertics position control in 3ds max ?

Hi guys recently my friend ask me i can not answer this situation. is it possible vertics position make with curve editor or anyway.. Just simple ramp half round but smooth control... is there have any parametric without plugin or with plugin. I remember para3d but very expensive way to do this...

You can do something similar with the Vol Select modifier. You can use any Map as a way to control selection with falloff... white is 100% selected, grays decrease selection strength, black is 0% selected. Then add an Xform modifier on top to move/rotate/scale.

Hey! Glad my tip helped.

Another way to make the smooth curved ramp shape... start with a Helix instead of an Arc.

And you can use the Rendering rollout in the Helix to make it into a rectangular-shaped mesh. Less modifiers the better!
