I've decided to spare my time on a new environment.
It still a early wip but i am about 30% of progress.
Subject:
"Le chemin des nuages" (The cloud's path). A semi-desert place with few oases on the tops of high cliffs.
Despite the difficulties of access some peoples chose to build their house there, living with mushrooms that they pick up.
Graphic taste:
I would like to get a slightly toony touch, without falling into the excess (no cel shading, very light stretch and squach etc).
Toon is perhaps not the right term, let's say that I seek a colorful and a fantasy atmosphere.
Let's start by the blockout:
Add clouds (particle emitter) and test in TPS:
First render test, too much realistic...

(Re)Position created elements (giant Mushrooms, small mushrooms, grass, small grass)

Dirt ground (vertex paint Blue) > the ground contains already 3 materials: rock, wet rock and wall (to blend with the cliff)
Wet rock (add some puddle?)

Just a little up to show you the houses (I removed the mushrooms for now and will replace them when i will be happy with the shape of the cliff/grounds):
I will probably brush up these later especially add some bevel to the planks (made of mushrooms !)
Just tried physX clothing on the cloth parts of houses and played with the wind, it is fun.
I will also test bones animations and see what fits better to the result i want.
