    This is really cool. Finding something like that would be a dream come true for me. Urban exploration is a big source of inspiration for me. It's a shame 90% of the comments on that website are whiny unrelated politics rather than about the awesome article.

    I browsed through the google translation and the original author doesn't make any mention of urban exploration - I think this was something insinuated by DesignYouTrust: Baikonur is hundreds of miles into the desert and difficult to reach (it's a Russian exclave so most people reach it by flying in from Moscow) - it's not something you stumble upon by accident and break into. Awesome photos though. Also I think one of the Burans was rescued by a German museum, so there will be at least one preserved.

    Edit: Actually, looking at Ralph Mirebs' journal, he does look like the sort of hardcore urb-exer who would trek for hundreds of miles to see something cool...
