How do you import a HDR texture? I can convert a HDR texture to RGBM and import that and convert back to HDR in the material's shader, but RGBM doesn't play perfectly well with texture filtering, and even if I change the textures filtering mode to nearest neighbor, I am still getting artifacts.
There is an option for importing (.float) but I can't get it to work at all. I took my HDR texture in HDR Shop and tried saving it out using both the "Raw Binary Floating Point" and "Portable Floatmap" export options. But every time I try to import one of them all I get is "Import Failed" from UDK (brilliant error message, btw EPIC!)

But if there is another way I'd like to know how to get it to work.
No idea what software supports that though
I would assume that no other formats are allowed.
Edit: That can't be right, I import .png all the time. After looking at the import dialogue box inside UDK, it looks like all of the above textures plus .png only are supported.
That doesn't really help at all. I've read that page like everyone else. Like I said, I've tried my damnedest to import everything which could possibly be the ".float" UDK SAYS it supports, and the best it can give me is a two word error message.
