Found this treasure trove of wwii aviation reference and I thought it would be very selfish not to share, just in case anyone here had the slightest interest in wwii, or how the operational wear of yesteryear looks.
It must have been crazy to be part of bomber command in the RAF,in the imperial war museum in London they have a good chunk of a Lancaster bomber and what struck me was the crampedness of the interior. I can imagine how tough it must have been to get out of that bomber if it was hurdling down towards the earth,hell could you even have a parachute on while manning the more cramped positions in the plane?
