Storing UVW info problem - 3DS Max

Hey.

I'm currently working on a brick wall for my red riding hood scene but I'm having problems when unwrapping the low poly.

It's a simple box so isn't hard to unwrap but the checker pattern doesn't update in viewport when I scale the UV's up or down.. It just stays stretched. :poly127:

After unwrapping the model, if I collapse the stack then add an Unwrap UVW modifier and go to edit, the UV's have all gone back to default.

Somehow Max isn't storing the UV info when i collapse the stack.

Any help is appreciated.

    make sure you are working on the same UV channel as you checker map has been assigned to. When you switch in 3dsMax to a different UV channel (default is #1) it asks you to reset what you have right now, and you need to say yes otherwise you can't edit or work in that channel. Its very confusing and stupid but thats how autodesk thought it would be for the best.
