by being able to model things, you'd already set yourself apart from the endless stream of artists running our of school each year. you wouldn't believe the amount of applications we reject, simply because people are too addicted to zbrush.
They're pretty much my sole passion. Maybe that's a problem. That's one of the reasons I'm so perfectionist I've never yet been able to progress much on them. Pretty sure the other is a hideous amount of mental illness, haha. I remember seeing those threads; did they stop due to a lack of participation or something?
If that's the case, then even if I get my skills up to scratch, it sounds like it won't make a huge amount of difference when nobody's going to pay attention anyway. So how does someone get their foot in the door? I've never been big on self-promotion, but the impression I'm getting is that just being good at what you do…
