Hey... ran into quite a problem. I think I know the answer to it but I'm looking for different opinions. Simple question, can I upgrade from vista HB 32 to windows 7 64 bit? I guess the answer is "no" but I read from somone on a tech forum that you could. Peace.
Nope, you just download them again once you are up and running. Windows 7 gets a lots of it for you. You should only really need to manually install graphics, tablet, mouse/keyboard and maybe sound drivers.
You can upgrade, but it requires you to reformat your hard drive. Also make sure you have a 64bit capable cpu. Changing from 64 vista to 64 7 wouldn't require a reformat, but since you are changing from 32 to 64 it is required.
Okay, just to summarise, I can actually use the 64 bit version on the family pack of windows 7 if I reformat m harddrive (which, as one of you said, is done by the disc when you put it in?) and have a 64 capabale cpu? I have an AMD Athlon II X4 Qaud - compatible?
