here's how i would do it. Took longer then i wanted, but i am sitting in school and I haven't done 3D in weeks. (stopped being a 3D artist, and doing something else in life). 1. build it in samll parts (breakdown "bigger" projects to smaller pieces and connect them) so much easier to handle 2. Boolean them together 3.…
I'm quite new to 3D modelling, and I think this might be a bit too advanced for me, but I wanted to try anyways. To the left there is the reference and these are prints from my progress so far. What do you guys think? Any idea on how I might be getting it wrong? It does not feel right for me
so one thing to keep in mind. Dont go for perfect. It will just ruin your "lust" to do 3D. Go for what looks good. if you have tris and ngons everywhere and it still looks good to bake. Go for it. you will learn with each project. Also If this is a HP that will be baked down, be careful not to have that tight edge…
Hello there. I'm a total noob when it comes to 3d modeling and i've been wanting to make a paper art with some topography 3d models that i can get online. I tried using google and asking some friends, but I don't even know the correct terminologoy for this. So I'm gonna send 3 images that sparked my art idea as an example…
Yeah really, it's the same thing as perna's vid. Just play with the number of sides until it matches roughly. It doesn't have to align perfectly. Just boolean, and adjust manually the biggest cylinder. The deformation will be minimal. Also you maybe don't have to use such amount of sides. Look at this one…
How do I make a 12 strand rope/cord like the images below? Not talking about the individual braids of each strand, but the overal look of it like in the second pic. I know how to make a braid in 3D, but can't wrap my head around how to do one properly in Blender.
