Or borrow/trade games with friends. I think Blizzard and Valve have it right again with this one. Each copy of the game is linked to a Log-in ID to Steam or Battle.net. No reselling because it's linked to that account. Selling your account is a different matter. :)
Yeah, uhm, mostly all of these guys here are extremley sucsessful in the Games Industry and alot work for high profile companies such as Blizzard. Not so great if you enter with a note like this... I'm sorry but thats just rude and quite...bombastic?
It was amazing, I had a blast. Open bar parties, kickass polycounter meetups and sketch sessions, free stuff, new game tech, portfolio reviews by top names at top studios [Blizzard, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, and of course, TURRRRRBBBOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
So I'm helping a friend work on a project and she is trying to get a texturing style on her character that is similar to world of war craft. Any ideas guys on how to get something like this done, or the techniques that Blizzard used.
Hey Polycounters! Here is another level that I did for Toys for Bob and Activision Blizzard on the Spyro Reignited Trilogy! There is more on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/gJw24Z There is more on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/gJw24Z Cheers!
Hello guys , here are some images of the sword im working on it is WIP i still need to paint some detail, but i wanted to know what do you think so far. I'm going for a Blizzard style, the concept is from Tyson Murphy. Thanks! Textures:
Hello Everyone! I'm currently a student at the Art Institute of Los Angeles. Thought I'd post up a WIP. Currently, there's no lights in the scene and some textures need polish. I took a Blizzard concept and changed it to a bit of my own. Let me know what you think! :)
Not sure how I feel about this. PopCap is one of my all-time favorite developers, up there with Blizzard n Valve. Hope EA gives them the royal treatment. :D http://kotaku.com/5820553/electronic-arts-buys-maker-of-bejeweled-and-plants-vs-zombies
incidentally, I wonder why Activision Blizzard never took any action over Minecraft, since it's clearly similar to Warcraft and Starcraft in name. I guess in that case there's a clear enough boundary between the genres?
While it's more of an editor than just a player, VirtualDub is free and has frame stepping with the arrow keys, I just tried it on Blizzard's Diablo 3 cinematic trailer (HD resolution AVI) and it was perfectly smooth.
