Did you read the caption below, william21984? "Reset Xform is an oft-used tool, but it destroys the original axes, bad for animation, bad for modeling too. Xformer 2.0 looks to bring it back WITH A MINIMUM OF HASSLE."
Pretty nice. The materials are handled well, but i can't get a grip on the shape or orientation of some of the forms. The axe blade especially stands out as pretty visually confusing -- the painting makes it look warped in the light.
Followed your tut, and did this. nice technique dude. Might use this technique to make some indian arrow heads and some primitive chiseled rock axes. Like the ones based on Ea Mithic concepts.
Well, that's probably the easiest critique I've ever gotten. Thanks guys :) And resume's my work for the weekend. Any critiques regarding the content, what to axe, what you'd like to see more of? Thanks again.
COMMANDO! A classic Arnold movie culminating in him slaughtering around 200 motherfuckers with guns, bombs, axes, pitchforks, rocket launchers, grenades, knives, and even circular saw blades. Gratuitous oily muscles included.
cool. i like the style, and it's very "orcy" ... his arms seem a little short though! i woulda given him a little more jaw below the lower lip too... and where's his axe!?
hi, I got the axe maya file off there workshop page, then added the defalt texture for the body it came with, but it seems to be transparent, anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
Your models are decent and lit nicely on their own... but they could use at least a really small diorama environment per object. Doesn't need to be complex. For example: The first image of the portfolio piece of the axe could be sticking out on a tree stump, and the tree stump could be surrounded by a small piece of grass…
Thanks for criticism. It seems all of the complains, even the ones from my friends are because this hook looks more like an axe. I will try to fix it. Again thanks ^^
Fantastic work vimkerk! I'm curious as to how you made the linen wrap around the ax handle. It looks really fantastic and it's something that's always been a bother for me.
