Thanks man. The turntable is just an animated GIF. Save out a turntable video from zbrush, import video into Photoshop and then save it out as a gif. Finished the lizard guy up..
Thanks for the advice! I've been downloading lots of musculature diagrams and pictures of lizards and stuff...part of this is that the character is based on a description in a book, so some of the weird appearance comes from there.
Another update. More refinement and adding back in the skittering critters. I decided to change the crabs to lizards because I think they prove a bit more fun and goofy.
Yeah! I like your style of working through a scene in situating it into a potential story. And thanks, I wouldn't want to come across as someone who is like 'this isn't right, or this is wrong' haha In a simple scene like this, I always think of the Yin + Yang symbol for some reason, how objects harmonize with eachother.…
Hello Polycounters ! I forgot to post the 3D version of my lizard. So, here it is ! You can check it in Marmoset Viewer on my artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/E3XD8
Before I started my entry I was playing with the thought of making a humanoid looking lizard, but a humanoid frog is even better! Looks cool, curious what cloth will you put on him.
To me seems like the eye is bulging out of the head a wee bit. Check out some lizard, or even other dragon's eye sockets maybe. Looking great so far though!
Well... there's absolutely no anatomy in that. You went immediately from a geometrically crude model to slapping details on it and calling it done. You might want to look at big cat anatomy, lizards, etcetera etcetera.
