I've been using Sequencer for exactly this. With UE5 there are significant improvements with Sequencer and ControlRig. If you're limited to using UE4, you can still pull off results like this even without setting up raytracing project settings. Feel free to check out my portfolio link below. The most recent posts…
I am ambivalent about this claim. The argument has its valid points. On the other hand, from a technical point of view, neither is correct if you use real global illumination (sampled at a high level) as a reference. A darkening effect in corners and cavities occurs in reality even when the scene is illuminated with…
Would be nice if you added a bunch more trees to the far left and right (circled in red), to give it that dense forest feel. I also think you could reduce global illumination to darken the shadows slightly.

Thanks guys :) I'm calling the scene done now. Here are the final shots. I'm moving on to the monthly hand-painted challenge. Critics are still welcome and I might address them later with a more global view.
In their opening weekend they were high in the global sales charts (behind Bf1942 and it's expansion, and The Sims). I don't think they flopped; recently Homeworld had its 10th anniversary and has sold 500,000 units to date, as an example.
