Simple answer - the door got damaged, so they got a replacement at a "Pull a part" place, and haven't gotten around to repainting it yet. I see dozens of fenders, doors, hoods, and such like that every day.
i'm really sick right now, but managed to finish up some simple texturing on the shield and have a new idea on the large door. I'll explain more about the door in my next post.
Cheers for the feedback, cracked a parallax on the door, instant improvement. Thank you for the advice, I'll try it on some parts of the panelling when I get the texturing done as I think they are in less need of it than the door. Thanks again :)
Yea, like Axios said, Id definitely tone down the DoF...almost makes it look like a tilt shift image. Boat size could be a little bigger...Look at the door for the house compared to the door for the boat cabin.
I thought half the problem was that their little "gentlemen's agreement" was designed to keep those other doors shut. If another company like Sony started opening their door and offering more lucrative positions, they'd go after them.
For me, I just planar map everything and stitch the side UV of the door way to the front, since the door way has a hard corner, even if you split the UV of the inner part, people wouldn't notice it. _Revel
hmmmm, cheese and ham bakes( in the style if homer simpson). I too stopped going because the automatic door is lethal in the greggs in birmingham. I am sure they have 'sharpened' it and it 'cacchhungs' shut like a door trap in Tombraider
That is exactly how I would do it. Also, model it as it needs to be in game. Does the door open? Does it need to hinge at a certain spot? Do you want gaps large enough in the door to see through?
Update: Finished a door to cap out the hallway, and made the side panels alternate like in the concept. I also added monitors above the doors that I plan on having display something, if it works out. :D
There is a lot of green and muted warms.. I like the boldness of the red door personally, but it will stick out more compared to the green door. It's really more what you are going for. But I'll throw my hat in for the red.
