Are you rendering in 3ds max with mental ray? If so, trying setting the visibility of the projecting model to 0.0 (or try rendering with scanline) -

A 1070 will give you a significant boost in apps like substance Painter but prices are crazy at the moment so it's debatable as to whether it's worth the money.
