I applied for a softimage animation course back in 1997. I was told by this frosty old cow on the end of the phone that I probably had a pirate copy of softimage and that I would n't be able to cope anyway. way to sell the course to people missus. quite amusing really -

holy crap... I'm working on a pirate ship also and your hull looks almost identical You're way further along that I am though. Finals have kept me away from my work. Mine's sort of for an indie project also. Nice job. -

How would they know if you pirated it and used that in freelance work instead? They have a registration database. If they had reason to suspect that Joe's Freelance Graphics was using an illegal version, and checked their database and found that Joe's Freelance Graphics didn't have a licensed copy, they could investigate… -

You have proof that the guy is selling pirated items which is illegal for a start, but also, looking through the terms of use, a violation of the EULA for the software. There's a bunch of pages, email addresses such like set up for just this sort of situation. Just contact the administration and get the guy black banned. -

Someone back in the Q3 modding days did a pirate player model where they printed out the UVs and coloured it in with pencils, I seem to recall it looked quite good. I've looked for the model once or twice but I can't remember the name so I can never find it :( -
