ooh, shiny! It almost looks like the head was done by another artist, in that there seems to be a large contrast in quality between it and the armor. kind of ruins it for me but, as others have said, the armor is fanfuckingtastic
Here is an update. started sculpting in some of the carapace armor & flushing out the basic shape a bit more. Pink=Soft Spots Blue= Carapace Armor Green=Mouth Black=Eyes
More WIP: Really struggling with Armor placement and Overall "feel". I'm torn between "Armored Monk" and "Illaoi Classic" themes. I keep mashing them together and being displeased with the result.
Update - Super basic blocking in of the armor - so far - Trying to figure things out that are a little obscure - like the Arm armor - got a lot of refs for it from 3Dsk - hopefully something will click
Cleaning up the armor. I scrapped the artificial leg muscle idea, I felt it clashed with the style too much. The kanji on her armor is "hasu", obviously enough. It apparently means lotus

That's some circular logic wouldn't you say? We don't need many character artists, because there aren't that many characters that need to be done, because there aren't many character artists. And I thought every game should have a plot with characters in it, shouldn't it? What ever happened to character growth? In movies…
