It is an architectural VR project, using samsung gear, and not that simple look of furniture, just sufficient for any person to buy in their house -

Nearly done with Retopo and Unwrap, just missing the fingers. I've also got this cafeteria in the works right now, it's going to be used in a VR simulation. -

MR is dated though, its not really using a computer to its full power, ray tracing / raster hybrid seems to be the future for MR and VR. -

Carmack worked on engine tech and that was probably in place for a while now. That's why he was experimenting a lot with VR and other stuff lately.
