Are you connected by USB or eSATA? If you are running by USB, then use the USB as power and connect by eSATA. It may be a simple power issue. If the drive is out of warranty, crack it open and install it in the computer, most likely the shitty controller on board went toast, not the HDD itself. -

Yeah I guess installing it on USB storage is worth a shot. I've read it's not USB friendly though, unlike UT2K3/4 which ran fine off a USB drive, and could be stripped of the content with no problem. 9GB is pretty huge on my measly 30GB partition. :( -
