Here's some of my 3D work. Note that I've just gotten around to putting my 3D work up on Artstation ready for Marmoset viewer so there's not much there at the moment but I'll be posting more gradually. Playable Shark from Hungry Shark World (Created from own concept. 3.2k Tris & 2048x2048 texture. Normal and Diffuse map)…
I too was thinking about this and my friend "he makes html5 games as a freelancer ar the age of 21 and already earnt $50000 in 13 months au" told me to work with unity because I do what I want to do "3d props/character's" and have them on the unity store so my work could not only be seen on its own but hopefully in decent…

@dpaynter26: thanks! @Ignacio_G: Thanks! My high poly workflow is pretty standard. I modeled everything in 3ds max max and did bakes in 3ds max, too. I do plan on using nDo2, and maybe dDo whn it comes out, but for not i'm sticking to old fashioned poly modeling. Also, as you can notice, i have a some floating geo in my…
Okay, so I have basically been working lightly this week to adjust my low poly models. Each one came in at roughly 400-500 polys. After I unwrapped them I moved to get a nice layout on the combined UVWs and throw on the source as a texture. So this is what I got. Yes I just basically tried to mirror the images and you can…
Qantm doesn't do hecs though, they do fee-help which, for memory, was terrible in comparison (with fee-help you'd have to pay back an extra 15% or something, which would've made the qantm course ~50k for two years). Not sure about any others. I decided to do a non game-related degree at a uni that does hecs while doing…
I'm going to talk a bunch about Level-of-Detail because I'm up waiting for a GDC flight. silly me. Documentation for your game should have the technical specs for LOD laid out. If not, documenting it would be great. Diminishing returns. You can only create lower LOD steps before they use more memory than not using them at…
Add some weight, to make it look more natural, now it looks empty, or like there's no gravity. Also it looks like a new one, never used. Polycount seems quite high for such object (I mean it looks like 400-500tris maximum). Besides above, it looks good. :)
