Here's the result I got from Krita. I got this by taking one of the normal maps, inverting the red and green channels with two filter layers set to Copy Red blending mode and Copy Green blending mode respectively, then putting the other normal map on top of it in Combine Normal Maps blending mode. You can take a look at…
I have a relating question here. Does anybody know how much the memorybandwidth of the videocard matters in how fast Painter will run? In my experience I get smooth operation at 2k, but once I move to 4k I get that red bar at the bottom of the viewport with every operation. Is it the lack of memorybandwith that causes it…
Thanks guys! I'm really not quite active on the forums, so feedback is most appreciated! One thing I was considering was getting into mobile games, because I thought it might be useful to be able to do both characters and environments, depending on what the current app development requires. It then hit me, mobile game…
Did some more work on the textures and low res model. I tried a bunch of different stuff for the pommel but none of it was working out so I just nixed it altogether. Right now I'm sitting at 1523 tris, I also have a bit of UV space left if I want to add any other minor details to the model. The specular was a quick and…
I had a mansion model, but it was the first time I have been learning 3dsmax... Now I feel I can make a relatively complete mansion model... I've made evil resident's concept of animation... I think you should be interested... http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=152757&highlight=resident+evil
I dunno... its nice to settle somewhere you like after you've been around the area for a bit, and you know what kind of place you would like and what you kind afford. Just moving into the city it makes sense to save some money just in case. Also.. expenses are not cheap... its like 1000 for apt... say 800... plus the train…
used this at work quite a bit for printing.... blown a standard 8/5x11 to 15ft wide. Still holds up, but it does give it a slight "painterly" effect in my opinion. just need to make sure the source image is a high enough resolution, which if you use your max doc size out of zb, it will work just dandy.
Sorry if I missed it, what kbps (kilo bits per second) are you compressing to? This has the largest impact on visual quality, across all codecs. Too low, and it's a blurry mess. Too high, and it becomes a giant file that won't play smoothly on slower computers. 1500 kbps is generally OK for 800x600 or so.
Hi memory, Well at the moment it is for University, we were told to create a modular environment that is game ready. We were unfortunatly limited by having a maximum of 15,000 tris and a maximum of 3 room. However I would like to continue the level development during chrismas as we finish uni this week. Hopefully I'll end…
