Its a good idea, but not very useful. I mean We could make that chair in about 20 secs, rather than the 9 mins it took him. Even if he wasn't narrating and just modeling it would take 5 times as long
Hey Adam, If you get a sec, could you please post the diffuse flats for your tree branches/leaves? Specifically the conifer and hemlock trees. I'm keen to see how you laid out the leaf textures. Lookin awesome man!
Just finished a little something. =] Some stuff I made a little while earlier; A splash screen/main menu I created using GameMaker:Studio A little illustration made for a Secret Santa event over at GMC. Available for some more work!
The end result is mind blowing, for a sec I though it was a reference pic. Never thought that splines can be that much useful, and that's the plot twist moment when you started making topology polymesh over the spline meshes :) Learned a lot, much appreciated.
ohhhh great news!! and the blendshape info being saved straight into a DMX file is ace!!! (NB: in the maya plugin, they had DMX sprayed over with a red SMD...so they're going back to the dmx format again it seems.) thanks for the heads up!

Interesting approach of this contest. The hood and hands seams just a bit over detailled in comparison of the rest ; I would save sme tris on those parts to add more tris on the kind of sickle weapon. Waiting for some texture ;)
Hermes Sac sounds like a pretty legitimate Polycount thread to me. We could probably use a few more moderators in other time zones so that the forum doesn't get dogpiled when the Yanks go to bed.
