me and my girlfiend are having our 3 year ani (well we forgot when we got together so we just picked a date which seemed right) next week, so hurray for summer barbies and pimm's o clock! chris
Hello, Polycount! As many of you probably have felt as well - sometimes making a game is more fun than playing one. That is why me and my friend, Oskar Selin, is working on a side project when the mood strikes. Since we are both artists (I'm an animator and Oskar is the 3d artist) we both have to learn and make the…
Obviously i first clocked because of the "overwatch" in the title, but i'm really glad i did your post is very inspiring!! I especially love to read you workflow and the evolution from your initial idea to the final project cant wait to read more, good job!
Neither Treant nor Clock are up on the requirements page unfortunately, but Treant is up the importer. Until they're up on the download page, I'm not making the sheets because I wanna be consistent and use the high quality textures, plus I got a whole system going for these suckers... :D
Fleafa - I wholeheartedly agree. I waited a day to take a look at this again, and that was the first thing that stuck out. It doesn't fit at all with the rest of the look. It was the last thing I did though, when there was 30 seconds left on the clock and I realized I needed a lightsaber in there lol
Got the Low Poly done. Clocks in at 1,050 tris. Had a hard time trying to make things look round with the budget I had so any critiques would be awesome. Edit: Jackablade, I wasn't staying true to the ref pic, I was using several sources.
I was playing with textures tonight, because my texturing skills require quite a lot of improvement and here is what I got so far (the train model is a study from The Boy with the Cuckoo Clock Heart, the other one is a simple head from mudbox and dropping a texture on it):
I was hoping for more varied and challenging single player gameplay than this. It's like changing a rule in a sport - for example the NBA could still have no shot clock, no instant replays, and no 3 pointers to keep the game "pure" as it was originally created. But, the rules have changed to improve the game.
Just a little curious, you say DoD is about 10 hours long? Whenever we clocked it, it was about 15-20 hours(this may have been before the load times were improved, however). Just curious to see if you played through the entire game?
same here, as long as the heat is under control its fine, I lapped my processor and my heat sink and over clocked my processor from 2.4 to 3.2 ghz and its been running great for 2 years. The i7's auto overclock btw.
