I really like the shield, awsome style on that. As mentioned the eyes look excessively far apart, kind of owlish. The swirls on the top part of the helmet look a little out of place compared to the simpler style of the rest of the armor.
Small update. Started work on the texture. I want it to look like it was stolen form a governors mansion. So a high quality but of furniture but still beat around a bit. Thinking of painting a skull on the shield instead of a crest.
Congrats man! North Shields is my home town- I didn't even know there was a studio there! Looks like its headed up by one of my old mates' brother as well- say Hi to Adam for me!
I do love the ODST helmet. Maybe you can incorporate some kind of drop down shield that protects the helmets visor. Also the top doesn't seem as smooth and round as it should be. Otherwise good start.
next update. nothing fancy just a base for the arrows that are sticking out of the shield and a little glaced pottery tankard. next up is (finally) the crown and the base meshes for the various pieces of clothing. after that its sculpting time :)
Strangely, the majority of my studio prefers our lights on. Florescent lights... We also have huge windows that let a ton of light in. My eyeballs are bleeding! Any suggestions? I'm considering wearing a sombrero to shield the light.
hi first post here, im working on some assets to upload to a marketplace, im in doubt if i should joint all the parts of the model or not, it is a shield by the way, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Link to my artstation with a bit more of a write up. Matched to the UE4 mannequin. All credit for the concept goes to Intrepid Studios, the back of the shield I designed to feel at one with the front.
A shield spell i'm working on in the meantime. Still got some things to work on. Crits and comments welcome; Going to add some more effects to make it seem more grounded, tonight.
Today is the final day of the challenge, This is what I've got. Didn't have time to retopo/texture it, and need to add the Sword&Shield at a later point. Good work everyone, really enjoyed this
