I'm also using windows 7 64 bit... and maybe just maybe running gimp on a 64 bit system might make it more stable. But then again... does anything run more stable on 64?
i got it on PC... i think it unlocks this friday. Can't wait to play this! Just saw this: http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/05/28/max-payne-3-system-requirements-updated-new-pc-screenshots-released/ LOWEST TESTED SPECS* Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit) * Intel Dual Core 2.4 GHZ or AMD Dual Core 2.6 GHZ, or better * 2GB…
Does this mean that there are 64 sheets for diffuse, 64 sheets for normalmap, and 64 sheets for specular? Can you post some sheets? Also, hope you get your UE3 problem fixed, looking forward to seeing it with better lighting. Some textures seems really blurry, but I guess thats 3dmax like someone mentioned
Here are some things aurick mentioned on the Zbrush forums, some information might be a bit out of context but you can get the gist of the points he's making regarding performance. On a 64-bit machine with 4 GB of RAM, you can set the Compact Mem value at 4096. Actually, if you have 4 GB of RAM you should go about 512…
Actually the 64 bit does have a noticible difference. More so than the upgrade between 6600GT - 6800, and that's in applications not writing to utilize it. I meant Athlon 64 939 3000+ -> Athlon 64 754 3400+. AZ: Apparently not because Bubba paid 1200 for a comparable config (except for the graphics card which is a 200$…
I have had no luck getting the crytiff plugin to work, I have been following the tut on http://freesdk.crydev.net/display/SDKDOC3/Installing+the+CryTIF+Plugin and the plugin is not showing up in Photoshops menu. I am runing Photoshop 64 bit and the 64 bit version of Crytek Sandbox this is the photoshop folder iam dropping…
I bought Quixel when I found out it supports CS3. As I am still using the old junk on my end. Then I experience the communication between CS3 and quixel not working very well. To be specific, the loaded mesh wouldn't load at times or update properly. Then I read the minimum requirement again, it says The minimum system…
Upgrade your RAM first, but it's only really going to help if you're on a 64-bit system running a 64-bit OS (and 64-bit apps?). RAM will help ZBrush a lot, it's basically all it really seems to care about, and it will eat it up as fast as you can plug it in.
SpeCter: Thanks for that! There is a thread keeps running in the two test builts, so the 50% CPU consumption is expected. I guess you have dual core, otherwise it could be near 100%. I just suspect that in PolyHertz and GregD3's case, their computers somehow run the app as 64 bit. By default, a 64 bit computer will attempt…
There is not a 64-bit version available at this time, but the 32-bit version should run without a hitch on a 64-bit machine. We've personally tested it on both 64-bit laptops and desktops. Feel free to send us your hardware/system specs, and any possible .log files that Toolbag may have spit out when trying to run, and…
