Well, it sounds harsh, if you take it for that ;) Dont mix up the last stuff i wrote tho. its not towards you. As for the rag, i´d replace it with something more suitable. Eg a tourniquet, quick-clot package or FFD taped to the stock. A mate of mine saw your M16 and immediatly said: "Whats that on the stock??" "No idea"… -

I use Mental Ray to render, but i've always seemed to have a problem of the scene being to dark so I reckon the ambient light might just give it what it's been missing. I've got a monoprice 22 at home, it's decent enough, there's less parallax than the old 21" cintiq and you can fit most wacom nibs in - it's also not a bad monitor. You moved away from consoles that early? For me, PC gaming didn't really get awesome until 1993 or so, with DOOM and Dune II. I played computer games before that, but mostly just Ultimas and the like - nothing that could compete with the 16-bit console era.
