Until your arrested for riding your Bike because it was banned locally, and since local news was non-existent with the large Monopoly feeding people news nationally from one bias. The lead up to the law was never covered.
The local grids is the coolest thing about the presentation. It'd be nice if 3d apps and engines did a better job at giving artists those tools and options. I know most 3d apps have local snappining for objects, but they are not designed to work well with a modular level.
Getting it approved by the rating systems of other countries, and localization. Localization can actually take a while since if the game uses a custom font, they might have to not only translate things but also add additional character sets to there bitmap fonts.
Okey, i thought it was the same thing local and object since you check local when you bake object space in 3ds max. :) And also a alternative to convert a tangent normalmap from one engine to another would be great.
I would advice contacting artists that currently work at the companies where you have been rejected starting with the companies where you received interviews and art tests. They would be able to provide the most relevant feedback specific to the studio's needs. There are several reasons why the hiring process falls…
In my personal experience if a company does not get back to you within a couple days - a week, chances are they are not interested. every job I have gotten I was contacted back within a day or 2 and had an interview set up within a week. Emailing them to see if they received your application can make you seem desperate,…
Yes that can solve some painpoints. That Collab feature reminds me of Ubisoft Mixer (not updated anymore) Pros of Ubisofts Animation Studio approach; It works locally, directly within the program. no browser shenanigans and thus it was fast. Works in the local network and if needed over the net.…
Do you remember how some big action movies from the 90s had those neat miniature & matte painting cities that were heavily exaggerated? I would like to make something like that for 1990s Los Angeles. My pitch is an open-world, third person, action game / simulation set in megacity LA. There are many great films set in LA…
Nice stuff, good to see. I cant watch the video yet, but will do - did you transform to local space for these too? It's a constant problem I've had with worldpositionoffset, is that most often, you want it transformed to local on most meshes else your axis is always skewed.
Will have to find a local ASDA (loads of Tesco and Sainsbury's, but not a single ASDA). Local pub serves Schneider Weisse on tap. Slightly "heavier" than other weiss beers, but still really good on tap. Gives a really terrible hangover though.
