Hey guys, I have a question about making the low poly for the rocks. I'd show you images, but I'm doing this at work. Making the low poly model concerns me. I've tried using Meshlab, and it's given me mixed results (like overlapping geo and other issues), making the meshes unusable without a lot of cleanup. The decimation…
Yea for sure. I'm planning on some magazines or something on the front table. Maybe a photo or post it notes on the computer area. Some decals/logos that are missing currently. Any other ideas off the top of your head? There also is going to be a birthday scene as a bonus when I'm finished with a half-eaten cake on the…
the packing feature looks useful but the UI needs to be streamlined and it would be ideal to be able to simply set the size to 2024,4096 etc... The Packing itself is quick and amazing, would be good thou if it where able to fill the rest of the empty areas so it truly takes all the available space.
@JadeEyePanda good point. I added it to give that gun a more interesting silhouette to the otherwise very streamlined design. But I'm still not confident about that lever. Maybe it looks better without it, what you guys think? @BigK Thats not an conventional scope it should be a electronic scope with a camera somewhere…
Thanks for the cheers :) I think I'll focus on the Atrium for now. I've done a rough work for the stain glasses windows. At first, since I'm aiming at a victorian architecture + streamline decorations, They were quite abstract, until I noticed some of my sketches looked like a praying woman, so i worked this way. I'm not…
Thanks guys. :) Anyone have any suggestions for simplifying/improving the ear? I want the anatomy to be streamlined, but not to the point that it becomes abstract and geometric. I could also use some advice on shaping the eyelids. I thought maybe an inspiration sheet type thing would help people provide feedback on the…
It looks janky most likely because you decided to do stylized so you could take some loberties with the mountains. Do a one to one study of real life human anatomy. You’re not quite ready for this kind of study to be as successful as you want it to be. Stylization works best when you know what complexities you’re…
Valid point. Here is my opinion. The advanced lighting map is a great tool. My goal here is to combine the functionality of the material instance editor and the advanced lighting map (plus lots of other cool features) with a clean ui that is intuitive and easy to navigate. Many artists in the industry use Marmoset as a…
Them assets... Beautiful. In terms of engine selection, I personally would go with Unity. I have a fair bit of experience in both Source and Unity - Source is certainly dated although it can produce decent visuals and great performance on slower machines. Unity however wins by a landslide with its user friendliness in all…
Echoing a bit of what has already been said (all great advice!) , but really consider streamlined your portfolio. I feel like 3 core pieces is a strong solid amount, and if you can't bring across the kind of artist you are, what your skills are etc, in 3-4 pieces then its a case of working on the pieces themselves.…
