Hi, I just released my new Plug-In "Configurator Reloaded". As it was possible with the Adobe Configurator now it's also possible with newer Photoshop versions to create your own panels. I think that depends on what the consumers want. People are still buying the occasional 2D pixelart game even though the tech has long since moved on. I think the majority of games are either handpainted style or arcadey realism, and I don't see that changing much, regardless of the tech behind it. It'll just get clearer…

I just wanted to precise that in this kind of situation I personally prefer to use a hard edge and split the uvs at those sharp angles. It is a matter of taste, it has its down side (more chance of having visible discontinuity if you use some other photo texture there). But the normal map will be a lot cleaner (not huge…
