I mapped this object, and when I textured it, this happened the circles should be there, but the ovals behind them shouldn't be. When I rotate the object, the ovals move slightly. What's wrong?
Ensure your lowpoly is smooth shaded, not facetted. Remember, where you have hard edges, UVs should be split. Areas you circled, are likely due to ray distance being too high, picking up close-by highpoly geometry.
Updates to the floor lamp based on prior feedback. I decided to switch the chalky looking paint to something that hopefully feels more like enamel. There are a few things I'm not 100% satisfied with, but I've got keep moving. That said, further feedback would be appreciated and I may circle back for more polish later.
