512, yeah. My home tablet is a bamboo, and they're decent tablets. Much better than any of the cheap ones I've tried from competitors. -

If you will never be close to the gun and kept it at such a low tri count there is no reason for a 2048x2048 map, MAYBE 1024 but could probably sit well with a 512 with no problem. -

I thought dpi was just something relevant for printing? If your not gonna print it, it dont matter, all that matters is the resolution(512, 256, 1024 etc). -

Oh yeah, I've noticed all the tablet PC's have 512 levels of pressure, that's half of what I'm used to. Anyone with a tablet PC, is it noticeable? -

AAA games have a texel density of 512 pixels per square meter. What kind of modeling tutorials specifically are you looking for? -

I don't like the 256² one, because the stoneground looks so blurry... so I'd stay with the 512, it's nice and sharp and detailed. -
