If someone told me back in 2005, unreal engine would be free for indies one day and yet people would complain about it and compare it to unity, I wouldn't believe it. It happened... 2005...the year I was trying to figure out thief:deadly shadows editor, the strangest version of unreal engine 2.5...those were the days...
sorry ro derail the thread, but dropbox and google drive just don't have enough space or it costs a fortune, our last project had around 200GB raw data from over 16 artists - at dropbox that would be 15x16=240 a month. for a service that you can get for 9 dollar at dreamhost for all users together.
Hey guys, Stumbled upon this thread awhile back... just thought I'd mention that NCIX here in Vancouver has this thing on special for $116 Can and they ship. Just bought mine today and am monkeying around with setting it up! http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=51666&vpn=45-241-026&manufacture=ERGOTRON
Or you can grind. Using the above data: £60 = 8000 tokens = 4,800,000 credits = 48 hours. £3000 = 600,000 tokens = 240 million credits = 2400 hours. There are 14 tracks in the retail box (the rest are DLC). The game shipped with 200 cars and 120 of them can only be bought in DLC packs. Have fun!
tapeworm in the brain means you somehow ingested feces containing tapeworm eggs, this usually occurs in countries that use human poop as fertilizer (WTF!?) Occurrences of tapeworms from undercooked pork in the US is so rare, the safe cooking temperature was recently dropped from 160 F (cooked to a dry puck) to 145 F…
I have two of the Dell U2311H displays and like them a lot -- I think they were $240 each on sale. IPS panels, 1920x1080, and pretty good color accuracy when calibrated. Obviously they won't compare to the high-end NEC or Eizo displays, but those seem unnecessary unless you need flawless accuracy for $$$ projects.
I'm a game designer at Gameloft, so I'm sure we'll see each other around! EDIT: After Jacque's post I just wanted to say I've been living here for about 2.5 years (from Texas), and I haven't had a car the whole time I've lived here and it's been great :)
If you're rendering with Scanline then enable the Global Supersampler in the rendering options, and use the Hammersley option. Ramp up the quality and it should fix the aliasing issues, but beware of the extra rendering times. Also try maybe rendering out your normal map 2x bigger than intended and scale down in Photoshop?…
Kary: I was referring to having to save out the tool. I have not used ZBrush since 2.5. Since then mudbox has come out and hitting ctrl-s saves the mesh I am working on and not the bloody scene screwing you over from editing that "tool" you were working on and losing your work.
