deforming a geometry along a curve
hello!i want extruding a face along the curve?What is the algorithm or math formulas for this work? I can not control the rotations. -

The low-poly tires don't look correct. The treads appear to be extruding outwards rather than inwards. -

in maya you could also extrude a group of circles along a spline, than apply some twist to it. -

or,- in the poly modifier choose path extrude with a planar cylinder cap- pick the spline and adjust the interpolation settings. -

extrude along a spline, it makes it much easier to have the tape actually wrap over/under itself. -

Unfortunately Editable Poly still can't handle extruded hair planes, only Editable Mesh can. :( -

Get e photo of the tire, trace the tread with splines, convert to poly, extrude, dublicate, bend, done...
