"Matcap with Blend" as in possiblity to load a mapcap texture which is camera based, similar to ZBrush, Mudbox, etc. The blend was intended to be some manner of blending this matcap together with the rest of the chain.
Right on. Hi Guys Im using a morpher material to blend between two textures in an animation. The problem is between frames 1 and 100 the material darkens... is their a way to blend between the materials without this darkening... I presume its the blend type its using :( Thanks in advance! Jody

Looks like they hooked it up to the corrective blend shape system. When the rig transitions into a blend shape it also blends into the new displacement map that goes along with it.
An example is repeating tilable road 2kx2k material set with narrow 64x2k painted lines and 512x4k road edges and a second layer of alternating dirt road 1kx4k. But when it came to crossroad or branching it's unique cut also non-square mostly that needs to blend into tilable materials well . All this having 512x2k tillable…

Whoops, forgot to add the wooden board that covers the transition. :) I'm still experimenting with the blend options. Is there a way to control the harshness of a blend? It's a very soft blend right now, but I'd like the edges to be harder if possible.
I wish Photoshop had a blend equation editor, or some facility for creating new blend modes. They provide a good plugin interface for filters, but the ability to add new blend modes would be REALLY powerful.
