That is just how this works, you can store a morph target after dynameshing it and use morph brush to bring back flat area and manually smoth the surronding area. Another way is to make primary shapes using boolean in blender then small details using live boolean feature, making a low and high poly version out of that. -

Thanks for the comment MrHobo =) Actually I like the flat cupid bow, but on the following image I tried to shape it more while keeping it quite flat. Deepened the philtrum a bit as well. I was inspired by my wife for the upper lip, she has a flat cupid bow an almost flat philtrum as well but it's very challenging to sculpt… -

I don't really see Garfield at all. The most important thing would be anatomy. His face seems to be flat, even surface and shouldn't really work like that. Sculpting a likeness is really another level of portrait sculpting, and getting to it without knowledge of underlying structure(skull, muscles, fat pads) will not end… -

I think that another thing that makes him look short aside from the low knees is that his pelvis is too low. What happens to people with beer bellies is that their stomach flops over their pelvis. LoL this makes me mad. I dont know if it is this hlsl compiler or max but it is crazy. I've put my code into some fancy functions like Xoliul did, to get a better overview. But instead working like before as I would expect it, it does not I've got no compile errors or anything else, but my specular calculation doesn't work… -

Lookin good so far couple things though the bow in the legs isn't workin for that's something you'd see more in heftier people, the toes seem to be trying to counter act the bow in the legs, the hands seem webbed and to fat around te palm and the thumb is to wide around the base, also the nostrils in side view seem to flat… -
