I think John Warners got some good points and as you say MightyPea entertainment is varied and always should be but that doesnt make us any less responsible for what we do. I personally think there is a huge amount of room in the video game market for games that involve more emotional conncetion, less weapons, interesting…
Really cool subject for a student scene, a bunker like this gives you a lot of room to flex both art direction and tech. I’d really lean into the desk + computers as the clear hero – treat it like a film shot: highest texel density and detail there, and let the cabinet/radio wall sit a bit quieter in saturation and…
I am having a tough time trying to create lens flare for my lights in Maya.Whenever I render with Mental ray,the lens flare doesn't show but shows in Maya software renderer. Also I tried using shadow Glow on my bulb polygonal mesh to get it to glow so I can use lens flare, but Maya crashes. Is there a way to create scatter…
@MBauer17 Sorry I couldn't resist doing a little paintover: Mostly it's 1. Raising the landscape in the back to add a background 2. Adding complimentary color flowers for a foreground 3. Moving sun into the frame for more dramatic lighting. Just add a some foreground leaf/insect particles to create a bit of motion and…
Resolved my MRQ issues, had a sublevel with some alternate lighting experiments that was being set to visible when starting the render  working on grading now, mucking around with some frames maybe. Also did a small experiment, just attaching a media capture to a rect light. Works surprisingly well, so that might…
Well that's how it SHOULD work. I tested animating a box object and Auto Key and Set Key worked fine but with my biped object this isn't the case. As I said before, clicking the Key button with Set Key on typically does nothing. Auto Key creates a key frame, but only one, at the current frame and nothing at the start.…
Basically whether I should continue putting up each image for 2 frames or whether I should put every image for one. Usually animators do it on twos because the human eye cannot distinguish the difference but often times when it's done on 1s it's a little smoother. I am asking because if I add more frames and keep doing it…
Your atlas is going to have more than 3 objects on it, and usually it will have all objects on it. So you only send upload the atlas once and then don't have to keep binding it. Even if you have a few atlases and bind them all once each frame, the cost of those will stay constant, regardless of how many objects are visible…
combining drop bars and road bike brake-shifters (STI) with mountain bike frames and parts is not straight forward. you will need the STI's and derailleurs front and back at the very least, they can't be mixed and matched with MTB stuff. then you might be stuck with having to use a road bike crankset for the front…
