Ben Bolton actually did that exact same gun a while ago in a tutorial series. You might find it useful. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128414 I think he is a bit busy to finish the series though but I learned quite a lot!
the dual core i5 on the new (end of this month ) series 7 wacom digitiser'd samsung slates are supposed to be beefier. ASUS vs Sammy: http://tablets-planet.com/2011/08/31/samsungs-series-7-tablet-pc-competes-with-the-asus-eee-slate-ep121/
YES! Saw this earlier. Absolutely gorgeous. Make sure to watch that video in 1080/60fps. This is one of those series I've never played, but have always wanted to. Seeing this gameplay preview, I am 100% sure I will be buying it and playing the series for the first time.
I loved your Eat3D vid. Any chance of you doing a high poly hard surface Modo series? I would pay big bucks for any video series you put out, and would love to learn the workflow you're implementing here.
Hello ~ I've been working on a series of portraits for a group project in school. These are two I've recently finished. The blonde is supposed to be in her early teens, around 14, and the brunette is 16+. These are the two youngest characters in the series and I did struggle to convey age. Any feedback would be much…
I can also recommend pluralsight. It is excellent way to get to grips with pretty much all of your software. For insight into art fundamentals, I think marco bucci has excellent youtube series (the ten minutes to better painting series.) Also Aaron Blaise has a lot of good content.
Very well done! Really glad they did this to introduce people to Tom Lasky. Just having his character show up in Halo 4 would not have had as much impact without seeing his interactions with chef in this series. Really hope they get the funding to keep making a series in the vain of this!
Yup i finished Transistor recently and loved the OST too! Also game i played recently Life is Strange is quite nice also. My all time favs are probably the Persona Series, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Neo Tokyo, ME series and MGS aint bad too.
Saints Row is a cool series, but it's still different than what GTA used to be. The characters and plot feel waaay too over the top and whacky for me to take it seriously (not necessarily a bad thing). From a gameplay perspective it definitely is a better sandbox game, but the gta series has better characters and story.
Put a specular on there to see, zigzag is generally better, as in a series of M shapes. Alec Moody explains how this works in his 3dmotive tutorial, with very similar example to your mesh there. See chapter 8. Well worth the price, imho. http://3dmotive.com/series/normal-maps-tips-amp-tricks.html
