Play'ed 4 player co-op, but we only had 1 PS3 Controller. To substitute, we use my Tekken6 Fightstick, DJ Hero Controller with the scratchpad disconnected, and oh yeah. A Rock Band guitar -> Star power tilt = Special MOVE!
This looks FANTASTIC! I've loved tree top villages since Donkey Kong Country, I know most people will invoke star wars as their goto tree top villages but... You've put a great deal of thought into your process and it's really paying off :)
Thanks! Yeah I tried playing around with placing them closer together, the problem was it looked too "copy and paste" really. Also it looked far too busy and took away from having the train be the star of the image :) My thoughts on the matter anyway
Looks nice. You might want to have your edges a bit softer at for example the rails and bottom of the mag. That way they'll be nicer in your bake. Also, be sure to fix the topology on the cylindrical shapes, so you won't get this 'star' like pattern on it.
10 years ago, do a richard sandrak and lift a car, star in 10 movies and be govenor of california. Naah I'm pretty happy all said and done. I'm always more interested in what you can achieve not what you could of :-p
keep experimenting. if the experimental stuff doesn't pay dividends immediately, you'll find something handy once you "rein things back in". also, PS's star brush is always a winner! be sure to try more custom brushes though, they're extra fun.
Rick: That blue is a bit too "blue screen" for my tastes. That Silo icon beckons however. Can't wait for Silo 2. Asherr: That Star Wars matte painting is great. So many little details for the eye to explore during the idle minutes of the day.
added some rocks to the far background behind the far trees, changed the skybox as I thought it had too many stars previously, and added some bloom to the lights. also changed the mountains in the background slightly so the light bounced off them better
Real-time STARS ! ? marmoset 3 ^preview of a simpleish thing i might try to sell ,this is what it would actually look like flying through "space". https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3qXkQY (if i actually learned substance designer i might get further..eh)
