something worth reading in Kotaku http://kotaku.com/#!5796352/it-was-a-foggy-night-and-i-was-trying-to-get-to-the-bottom-of-la-noire So far i like the description... i just hope the story and mainly the characters are engaging enough to keep me interested.
It looks pretty good, but everything looks quite blurry. What resolution are your textures? You can achieve a lot with just glossiness. With PBR more glossiness= more reflectivity (smaller highlight) If you cheat by using the metalness map you're basically creating unrealistic materials. The metal needs more scratches.…
Can you post what you have? To add textures to a building, it's advised to do a uv unwrap of an object, create a diffuse and other texture maps in an editing program like Photoshop, and attach them to a material which you then assign to the object in 3DS Max. I've been following these tutorials which cover almost…
while my MSI GTX 570 is a nice card, i've had to flash its bios after frequent overheating at high load - apparently many of the "OC" cards in this batch can't handle the frequencies their set to during production. msi's support forums are full of complaints. ...so maybe go for the palit :)

QX9650 & GTX 570 that is with everything open including PS, 3DS max and UDK editor." so that's pretty promising to me and I think I can be safe in the knowledge that…

Man this brings me back. Good work so far. Your castle geo is the best. Good over all shapes and accurate theme. A few things though. The surrounding rock/mountain shapes, not so great. The geo is flat and it's not the right Helms Deep style. If your willing to spend that amount of geo on that many boulders in the scene, i…
