You should really revert your lowpoly-resize. Try and have both hi/low occupy the same space (as close as possible).

Also, since you exploded the model, make sure that the high poly meshes are occupying the same space as the respective low poly ones.

I'd weld it, soften the edge and offset the mirrored UVs by one unit so that they don't contribute to the projection but still occupy the same space in the texture.

Is that vertical stretching (Pinkish near the top) because you have UVs occupying the same space? I would check that if you haven't already.
