yeah i actually have the porco one, but i will check out the rest, been looking at styles im hoping for something a little more stylised than ghibli maybe more cel shaded maybe like this or this or this or this appreciate any more examples you throw my way

Black as metal base is the purest of the pure that should not occur often in real life. Even if the metal has theoretical a nearly black diffuse, there are so many layers of chemical processes on it in real life that I dont think that its ever truly right (if you are not going for a stilized look)
some good modelling but the main thing thats bugging me is the deltoid, i know its a stylised character but even then the anatomy should be correct. The deltoid connects around the collarbone and scapular, there isnt a defined ridge between the arm and body like youve got, good modelling otherwise :)

SpeedTree only makes realistic trees suitable for first person games. You might have to make trees for isometric games. You might have to make trees for a stylised game. I would expect an environment artist to be able to make trees from scratch. Learning the principles is important.
And here I thought you were doing a Swayze model. :p Really nice stylisation there. I'd personally make him a little leaner in the calf area, though. The chest to ribcage area seems a bit odd, too, almost caved in. But man, that head/face/hair is looking ace.
