Golden rule of sculpting (and most other art really): Get the big shapes correct first then refine, refine, refine. Really good likeness's. Whether its caricature, photo real or stylised only comes with A LOT of practice and plenty of good reference from many angles.
This is looking amazingly cute and adorable! the environment is awesome looking, nice low poly, stylised feel to it. The only thing that might need a bit more work for me is the steam from the tea pot. But that's just me nit picking hah. Awesome work dude keep it up!
@Magihat Thankyou! I know what you mean about the width and things- originally I was trying to keep my proportions realistic but I think I'm gonna end up pushing them to be slightly more stylised and fit the concept better :) @Elithenia Thankyou! :D
Long Time no update so just dropping a sculpt update in here , not sure whether to take it through the contest or finish and try and stylise it to look more like a character from Warcraft or Dota! Nice and handpainted or use substance for the contest :/ any ideas and critique welcome guys!
Thanks yeah I'm going for a toned look and will have to change some things around and I do wanna stay within stylised features etc, I tend to look at overwatch for a guide with that forever in love with that style. Also here a clearer picture of her body at the moment
Im actuallly curious about this too, i've seen people fully paint in zbrush, like if they were painting in photoshop but it seems to lack the tools to do stuff like sharp highlights and smaller details to make it stylised. Does anyone have links to people polypainting? Thanks,
it looks really nice but if he is so slim (decayed/rotten) that you would see the ripcage this much ... i dont think you would have such a well defined breast muscle ^^ also the ribcage seams realy large ... could be because of stylisation ^^ same goes for the shoulders
Hello, I'm looking for a concept artist who can create small 2d props in a stylised look with a gothic and celestial theme. Currently have a list for 10-20 props i'm looking to dish out. This will not be able to start between Nov-Dec, but depending on quotes can see about squeezing work out earlier. Please email:…
Through the grass looks kinda beautiful right now, I think it's a little to saturated... It ruins the realistic feel of the scene. It gives it an overall slightly stylised feel. Maybe you should at least reduce the saturation at some spots. Beside that I really love the amount of foliage and probs!
Oh yes! A buxom Pior babe with butt dimples and the stylin' cel tones! I'm glad you posted the progress, too, now I can draw like you! I see that the key to your success is drawing the girls naked first, then adding clothes. Sweet! /jzero
