Haha yeah, working on my iPad felt pretty limited compared to the full ZBrush version. I haven’t used Daz3D before but I’ll give it a try. Up to now I’ve only been using image references while sculpting, so having a 3D model to rotate around should help a lot Thanks for the tip!
My bad. Had a feeling the tute was an all round beneficial activity you'd engaged in - also don't be shy posting back with your finalized result as well, might just attract some insightful critique to further level, level up. On a side note, my HS specialty is military ordnance and AFAIK there's still a fair few Industry…
Hey everyone, I'm currently working on the highly-detailed cockpit of an F-15, and I've reached the texturing stage where I need to label all the buttons, switches, and panels (screenshot attached). I'm looking for advice on the most robust and flexible professional workflow: Would it be better to take a UV snapshot into…

I'm fan of your work since you made Jinx =D And you are totally right, the topology wasn't good. So I already take some steps back and changed. Thanks for the…

There wouldn't be any hidden faces that belong to the belt A tie, vest and coat would be combined. If it helps, think of your retop geometry as a…
Projection baking didn't really get popular til post 2000 iirc. The first version of Max to support it was I think 5.1. I wasn't using Maya much at the time but it's had some pretty advanced features for a lot longer than people realise so I wouldn't be surprised if it got there first.
Hey all, Working on the head section of my mech — day 2 into texturing. Looking for feedback on how to improve grime placement and add more storytelling to the surface. It’s meant to be a functional military unit, not a relic. Any tips or critique appreciated! Thanks!
After taking a few months off Unreal5 because it was more depressing than writing my own engine and using godot .. I'm back to see if 5.6 can actually do anything useful with large worlds... First impressions are that it's much more stable and performant in editor a - which is huge cos 5.4 was an absolute bag of shit. A…
