I also found these two excellent threads that will help me greatly through this creation process. I don't know if others have seen these, but they are great reads! http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119041&page=2 http://www.polycount.com/2012/11/20/the-environment-art-of-halo-4/#start-reading
[ QUOTE ] ... good lord at the newb responses... ...and if you really work for EA and are a "professional" why do you post such Noob comments like ... [/ QUOTE ] OMGROFL! You used "newb" and "noob" as insults. How old are you, anyhow? Take that, 12-year-old AOLer. LOL OMG ROFLMAO pwn3d!!!11!111!!!!!!!
Or if your shader supports it, use it to mask the ambient light, and get it out of the the diffuse. Mental Images MasterZap did a write up on correct use of ambient occlusion for realistic rendering http://mentalraytips.blogspot.com/2008/11/joy-of-little-ambience.html. I know were not using a raytracer but knowing how it…
Awesome thanks! I'll have to check that all out. I am going to be there October 23rd (Wednesday) estimated to get there around 11 am, then on I am free, and Thursday past 4 I'll be free as well. I doubt I'll have time on Friday to do anything but get ready to head back then.
Right on. 11 alternative files here and when I delete the rest of the old to update to the most recent save I make damn sure it opens. So there is no fix to this. I am also told that If you are working between Maya, and Zbrush, it is common for zbrush to crash, import inverted mesh, and so on. thanks though.
Also, the round 5 figure is good ref, in many ways better than that zbrush sculpt, because it nails what really sells gsp as an individual/personality: http://fighterxfashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/round-5-GSP.jpg http://ultimatefighter.mtvnimages.com/images/articles/12/kos-expo.jpg?width=608

Heh, Keyser you managed to lay out the argument for this movement better than one of the main founders of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eQTh5ITYGg&mode=related&search= "I believe consumption is at the root of terrorism!" ...because me going out and buying relatives chinsey little presents helped the hijackers of 9/11!
About the animator's survival guide: every animator I've ever worked with who was any good owned one. Most of them have a copy sitting on their desk, or in a drawer at any given time. It's just required. About a rig: try something from the 11 second club guys: http://www.11secondclub.com/resources/
Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that and nothing seems to be working for me. I've been following the 11 page CryDev thread and so far, there hasn't been a temporary or permanent fix. One of the forum support guys says Crytek is working on it, I hope it comes back faster than the Crytek sites did :poly121:
