I've got a few 3d printed bits and pieces lying about. A lot of them are quick and dirty proportional maquettes for constructing bigger stuff like these guys http://www.creaturetechnology.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/so_MG_3859.jpg that aren't particularly exciting to look at. I'm kinda proud of this one though. It was a…
i am done. i pushed the jaw up a bit and changed eyelashes as tierzilla suggested. helmet was removed. pose is now different. i didn't fix the crack and few other things because i am truly tired of looking at her. hair stinks, i need to work on that in future. colors were changed. here is the bitch: textures and wires are…
I remeber when i saw this a while back it blew my mind. Not sure if anyone's checked out this guys site but does some pretty amazing photos with GTA4 and ENB: http://deadendthrills.com/ http://hiryu.deadendthrills.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/GTAIV-2011-06-26-18-25-23-941.jpg…
Nvidia is supposedly having some trouble with this card. http://www.semiaccurate.com/2010/02/17/nvidias-fermigtx480-broken-and-unfixable/ So even beyond the "wait for DX11 to mature" argument, it might be better to hold off anyways, since it sounds like they're going to be expensive, bulky and hot. Since they're trying to…
[ QUOTE ] First, fmnoor , his name is Ethan Rom - all the letters needed to spell "Another Man", although its not quite an anagram. [/ QUOTE ] Oh snap, there goes my LOST cred. Anyone else find it extremely creepy when Ben suddenly spoke up after listening for a few minutes? Also : http://www.mittelosbioscience.org/ That's…
This is probably done entirely in the shader. In Unity you'd want to make a shader that supports blending different textures together. The bending could be done by using a second UV channel and putting geometry cuts in the ground. They could be using some kind of decal system but that won't translate to unity easily - so…
This week I've made some decent progress toward my tiling textures and my trim sheets. As of right now the Tiling Bricks texture is the furthest along and the second Trim sheet needs the most work. I'll be continuing to push forward with these and hopefully have them finished and implemented soon. Tiling Bricks: Tiling…
Here are some additional shots showing how the materials are looking right now. I think they are a little bit too colorful and saturated, it doesn't come together too well. Especially those yellow and blue tones are just too strong. But now I've got a great starting point from which I can start adjusting things. #01 First…
I'd say spend more time studying the facial planes, getting the basic shapes nailed down. The character looks good at a first glance, but the longer you look at it, the more stuff looks off. http://philippefaraut.com/store/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/p/l/planes.jpg…
I love it! :) But I'd recommend to make the shape of the ground less polygonal and give it some height. The scene endes abrupt. you can blur it like here: https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/000/111/611/large/nick-duarte-land-diorama001-final.jpg?1403494839 or break the shape abit like here:…
